Laser soldering is a laser welding technique in which a laser is used as a heat source to melt solder paste. The main feature of laser soldering is to use the high energy of the laser to achieve local or micro-region rapid heating to complete the soldering process, compared with the traditional hotbar soldering and Soldering iron soldering, laser soldering has the following advantages:
(a) The laser processing precision is high, the spot can reach the micron level, the processing time is controlled by the program, and the precision is much higher than the traditional process mode;
(b) Non-contact processing, there is no stress caused by contact welding;
(c) A small laser beam replaces the soldering iron tip and is also easy to process when there are other interferences on the surface of the workpiece;
(d) local heating, the heat affected zone is small;
(e) no static threat;
(f) Laser is the cleanest processing method, no consumables, simple maintenance and convenient operation;
(g) When a yag laser or a semiconductor laser is used as a heat source, it can be transported by an optical fiber, so that it can be processed in a conventional manner in a place where soldering is difficult, and the flexibility is good, the focusing is good, and the automation of the multi-station device is easily realized.
